Next week is an important holiday in many Spanish-speaking countries. Today we started learning about and preparing for Dia de los Muertos. I emphasized that this is not a scary holiday, but rather a time for families to remember and honor their loved ones who have passed on before them.
The younger grade learned the parts of a Calabaza (pumpkin) in Spanish.
6th grade Vowel quiz is pushed back to next week. They had many questions about earthquakes and volcanoes from their science unit, and I am always happy to talk about my experiences in Guatemala!
We are looking forward to creating some art next week based on Dia de los Muertos designs
